Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation

The project is implemented thanks to the financial grant of the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation.
This agency was created in 2007 in order to improve efficiency, flexibility and the overall coordination of the Slovak Official Development Assistance. It is responsible for the implementation of the ODA in line with the Midterm conception of the ODA (2009-2013) and Annual Program, and according to the ODA Act. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic is a coordinator of the ODA.
The countries of Western Balkans including Montenegro belong to geographical priorities of the Slovak ODA, which respect the long term priorities of the Slovak foreign policy.

WHO WE ARE: MISSION OF THE SLOVAK ATLANTIC COMMISSION

The Slovak Atlantic Commission (SAC) is an independent, non-partisan, non-governmental organization which deals with national and international security issues. Aim of the Slovak Atlantic Commission is to support constructive and active involvement of the Slovak Republic in international affairs with emphasis on cooperation in the Euro-Atlantic community, support of transatlantic cooperation and effective implementation of foreign and security policy of SR through building a net of individuals and institutions (state, non-governmental and private), unified in strong security community. The Slovak Atlantic Commission represents a net of leaders who bring ideas to power and give power to ideas.

KO SMO MI : Misija Slovačke Atlantske Komisija

Slovačka Atlantska Komisija (SAC) je nazavisna, nepartijska, nevladina organizacija koja radi na domaćim I međunarodnim bezbjednosnim pitanjima. Cilj Slovačke Atlantske Komisije je podrška konstruktivnom I aktivnom angažovanju Republike Slovačke u međunarodnim poslovima sa težištem na saradnju u Evro Atlantskoj zajednici, podrci transatlantske saradnje I efektijoj implementaciji bezbjednosnih zakona SR kroz izgradnju mreže pojedinaca I institucija (državnih, nevladinih I privatnih) u jaku bezbjednosnu zajednicu. Slovačka Atlantska Komisija predstavlja mrežu lidera koji iznose ideje u moć I daju moć idejama.

BRIEF HISTORY

The Slovak Atlantic Commission was established in 1993 by Slovak diplomats and other distinguished persons, with aim to support integration of SR into transatlantic structures. Short after its establishment, the Slovak Atlantic Commission became a part of international network of Atlantic Treaty Associations (ATA), first as an observer and associated member. In 2004, the Slovak Atlantic Commission became a full-fledged member of the ATA. The SAC has supported accession of the Slovak Republic to NATO and EU since its establishment; it has been strongly involved in increasing public awareness of Slovak integration efforts and contributed towards building the transatlantic pillar of Slovak security and foreign policy.

KRATKA ISTORIJA

Slovačka Atlantska Komisija je osnovana 1993.g od strane Slovačkih diplomata I drugih uvaženih ljudi sa ciljem da podrži integracije SR u transatlantske structure. Kratko poslije osnivanja, Slovačka Atlantska Komisija postaje dio međunarodne mreže Zemalja Atlantske Povelje (ATA), prvo kao posmatrač I pridruženi član. U 2004.g. Slovačka Atlantska Komisija postaje punopravni član ATA. SAC je podržavao pristupanje Republike Slovačke u NATO I EU od osnivanja; bio je duboko angažovan u povećanju podrške javnosti integracijama Slovačke I učestvovao je u građenju transatlantskih veza Slovačke bezbjednosti I međunarodne politike.

International Security Conference GLOBSEC

GLOBSEC conference is the Leading Foreign and Security Policy Conference in Central Europe, which aims to contribute to shaping of the Euro-Atlantic Security Agenda and is searching for answers to the most pressing issues of international affairs and security. Međunarodna Konferencija o bezbjednosti GLOBSEC

GLOBSEC, Konferencija je vodeća konferencija na temu međunarodne bezbjednosti u Centralnoj Evropi, koja ima za cilj da doprinesepotpunijoj Evro Atlantskoj bezbjednosnoj agendi u potrzi za odgovorima na mnoga pitanja međunarodnih poslova i bezbjednosti. Project Euro-Atlantic Quarterly

It is a very important and vital platform for exchange of information, development of critical discussion and support of public awareness of security issues in Slovakia. For the second year running, it brings periodically news, commentaries, and articles on the activities of Slovakia in international security structures and event analyses of issues.

 

Project ”Democracy Building in Iraq“

The SAC organized a visit of a ten-member delegation of Iraqi parliament members and NGO activists in Slovakia with aim to provide them Slovak experience with building democracy, civil society, and transition from totalitarian regime to democracy.

 

GLOBSEC Express

In November 2007, the SAC organized a unique project, which took place on a moving and dynamic venue: conference railway car departing from Bratislava and arriving to Zagreb, where young leaders from the Balkans discuss security issues and ways of cooperation. Euro-Atlantic club of Montenegro
The Euro-Atlantic club of Montenegro is also a member of the Atlantic treaty association and a key implementation partner of the project providing the Slovak partner with necessary knowledge of local conditions and development, as well as with logistical and coordination support based on its experiences in organizing events promoting the idea of Euro-Atlantic integration.
